AUDIER-MASSILLON

Bruno-Philibert AUDIER-MASSILLON (1746-1822), knight of the empire, May 1801, lieutenant-general to the seneschalsy of Aix, deputy in 1789, judge to the Court of cassation, Knight of the Legion of Honour. Regulation of coats of arms:

Tierced per fess : Azure, a sun Or; Gules, charged of the mark of knights of the Legion of Honour; and Argent, a sea Azure, charged of a alcyon Or in its nest of the same and langued Purpure.


AUGER

Augustin AUGER (1755-1825), knight of the empire, 20 August 1808, donee on Trasimène on 15 August 1809, chief of squadron, retired lieutenant-colonel, Officer of The Legion of Honour. Regulation of coats of arms:

Azure, a pelican and its piety Argent, surmounted of three mullets Or set in fess; on the dexter is set a third Gules charged of the mark of knights of the Legion of Honour.


AUGEREAU

Jean-Pierre AUGEREAU (1772-1836), baron of the empire by letters patent of 13 August 1811, donee on Erfurt on 30 June 1811, lieutenant-general on 27 January 1815, commander. Regulation of coats of arms:

Azure, a lion rampant Or; a quarter of the military barons.



AUGEREAU

Pierre-François-Charles AUGEREAU (1757-1816), duke of Castiglione by letters patent of 26 April 1808, marshal of France on 19 May 1804, peer of France on 4 June 1814, Large Officer of The Legion of Honour. Regulation of coats of arms:

Azure, a lion passant Or, langued and crowned of the same; a chief the dukes of the empire.


Title of peer for life in favour of the marshal Charles-Pierre-François AUGEREAU, duke of CASTIGLIONE, by the ordinance of 4 June 1814. Confirmation of peerage with hereditary title by the ordinance of 19 August 1815.

AUGIER

Annet AUGIER (1753-1837), knight of the empire by letters of 31 January 1810, former lieutenant and keep seals of the country of Combrailles, Attorney General of the criminal Court of Hollow, Knight of the Legion of Honour. Regulation of coats of arms:

Argent, 2 coronets of spine of Sable interlaced and accompanied of three crescents Azure; a terrace in base Gules, charged of the mark of knights of the Legion of Honour.


AULARD

Pierre AULARD (1779-????), baron of the empire by letters of 11 January 1810, colonel of infantry, Officer of The Legion of Honour. Regulation of coats of arms:

Per fess: to the 1st, per pale in dexter Argent, barry Azure of six pieces, 6 mullets counterchanged, set in bend, and in sinister, of the military barons; to the 2nd, Sable, a lion Or, holding, in the sinistral paw, a flag and in dexter hand, a sword, the whole Argent.


AULMONT DE CANOPIES

Nicolas-Gregoire AULMONT DE CANOPIES (1746-1831), knight of the empire by letters patent of 9 January 1810, artillery brigadier general, commander. Regulation of coats of arms:

Tierced per fess: Azure, a mullet Or; Gules, charged of the mark of knights of the Legion of Honour; and Argent, a rock of six mounts Sable.

Baron of the empire by letters of 1 March 1812. Regulation of coats of arms:

Argent, a rock of six mounts Sable issuing from the base; a narrow chief Azure charged of a mullet Or; a quarter of the military barons.


AUSSENAC

Pierre-Gabriel AUSSENAC (1764-1833), baron of the empire by letters patent of 13 March 1812, donee on Mount-of-Milan on 17 March 1808, and Trasimène on 15 August 1810, brigadier general 1813, Officer of The Legion of Honour, knight of Saint-Louis. Regulation of coats of arms:

Per pale Gules and Azure, a bend Or, accompanied of two mullets of the same, one in chief, one in base; a quarter of the military barons.


AUTANCOURT

Pierre DAUTANCOURT (1771-1832), knight of the empire by letters patent of 20 August 1808, donee on Rome on 14 March 1810, major of Polish light cavalryman of the imperial guard, retired marshal of camp (1825), Officer of The Legion of Honour. Regulation of coats of arms:

Tierced per fess: Sable, a tower Argent embattled of three pieces, port and masoned Gules; Gules, charged of the mark of knights of the Legion of Honour; and Azure, a horse galoping Or.

Baron of the empire by new letters of 26 April 1810. Regulation of coats of arms:

Quarterly: to the 1st, Sable, a tower Argent embattled of three pieces, port and masoned Gules; to the 2nd, of the military barons; to the 3rd, Azure, a horse galoping Or; to the 4th, Or, 2 Polish spears Sable in saltire, a pennon per fess Argent and Gules, cantoned in chief and in flanch, of three spur rowels Sable, and in base, of a horseshoe Azure studded of the field.



AUTIÉ

Jean-François-Etienne AUTIE (1771-1811), baron of the empire by letters patent of 21 August 1808, colonel, Officer of The Legion of Honour. Regulation of coats of arms:

Azure, a lion Or holding between its teeth a sabre with blade Gules and hilted Argent; a quarter of the military barons.
