ANSALDO GRIMALDI DELLA PIETRA

Louis-Nicolas-Gaspard ANSALDO GRIMALDI DELLA PIETRA (1777-????), count of the empire by letters of August 15th, 1813, chamberlain of Napoléon Ier. Regulation of coats of arms:

Quarterly: to the 1st, quarter of the counts officers of the house of the emperor; to the 2nd and 3rd, lozengy Gules and Argent; to the 4th, Or, a bend checky Argent and Gules, on the sinister is set a rose Proper.


ANSELME

Charles-François-Ambroise ANSELME (1775-????), knight of the empire by letters patent of March 2nd, 1811, captain in retirement, Knight of the Legion of Honour. Regulation of coats of arms:

Azure, a scimitar reversed in pale Argent, the hilt formed by a head of eagle Or; a bordure Gules, charged of the mark of knights of the Legion of Honour.



ANSELME called BAPTIST

Joseph-François-Eugène-Benjamin ANSELME (1777-1810), baron of the empire by letters patent of June 29th, 1808, donee in Westphalia on 17 March 1810, colonel, Officer of The Legion of Honour. Regulation of coats of arms:

Per fess : to the 1st, Azure, a flag Or, charged of a N Sable and accosted of two mullets Or and a quarter of the military barons; to the 2nd, Or, a displayed griffin Sable, allumee, langued and armed Gules.



ANSTRUDE

François-César-Marie-Elisabeth-Luce D'ANSTRUDE (1769-????), baron of the empire by letters patent of April 26th, 1811, page of the queen, Officer of The Legion Of Honour, mayor of Anstrude, member of the body of electors of Yonne. Regulation of coats of arms:

Quarterly: to the 1st, Argent, 3 bases Sable moving of the chief; to the 2nd, Or, a lion Gules in one doubles treschor, ringed and contrebouclé of the same; to the 3rd, Azure, 3 boar's heads Or 2 and 1; to the 4th, per pale, Purpure, a chevron Argent, and Argent, a fess Gules; a quarter of the barons members of the body of electors.



ANTELME

Pierre-Joseph-Alexandre ANTELME (1769-????), knight of the empire by letters patent of July 15th, 1810, chief of battalion in retirement, Knight of the Legion of Honour. Regulation of coats of arms:

Tierced per fess; Or, a demi-lion naissant Sable; Gules, a mark of knights of the Legion of Honour; and Azure, 3 chevrons Argent.



ANTHOINE DE SAINT-JOSEPH

Antoine-Ignace ANTHOINE DE SAINT-JOSEPH (1749-1826), baron of the empire, with majorat, by letters patent of September 10th, 1808, treasurer of the 8th troop, mayor of Marseilles, representative of the Rhone Delta. Regulation of coats of arms:

Sable, a heart Argent, traversed of an arrow in bend Gules, accompanied in base of a crescent Argent, a narrow chief Azure, charged with three mullets Or; a quarter of the barons mayors.



Title of hereditary baron and transmission of majorat by ordinance of November 29th, 1827, in favour of François ANTHOINE OF SAINT-JOSEPH, son of the baron of the Empire. Confirmation of the title of baron and transmission of majorat (on reduction in the affected goods), by letters patent of December 6th,1827, in favour of the same. Regulation of coats of arms:

Sable, a heart Argent traversed of an arrow Gules, set in bend, and accompanied in base of a crescent Argent; a chief cousu Azure charged with three mullets Argent.

Transmission of the title and majorat of hereditary baron, conferred to Antoine-Ignace ANTHOINE OF SAINT-JOSEPH, by letters patent of September 10th, 1808, confirmed in favour of its elder grandson in primogeniture, Arthur ANTHOINE OF SAINT-JOSEPH, by ministerial order of July 28th, 1866, also bearing dissolution of the majorat.

ANTHOUARD DE WRAINCOURT

Charles-Nicolas D'ANTHOUARD DE VRAINCOURT (1773-1852), count of the empire by letters patent of August 15th, 1809, donee in Westphalia on 8 September 1808 and in Rome on August 15th, 1809, major general, deputy (1822), peer of France, November 19th, 1831, Grand Officer of The Legion of Honour, knight of Saint-Louis. Regulation of coats of arms:

Quarterly : to the 1st, quarter of the military counts; to the 2nd, Gules, per fess Azure, 3 roses Or set in raw on the Azure; to the 3rd, Or, a pyramid Sable, surmounted of a mullet Azure; to the 4th, Or, 3 crayfishes Gules set in pale and set in raw.



Transmission of the title of hereditary count conferred to Charles-Nicolas Of ANTHOUARD OF VRAINCOURT, by letters patent of August 15th, 1809, confirmed in favour of elder of its grandsons in primogeniture, Charles-Pierre-Alexandre of ANTHOUARD OF VRAINCOURT, by ministerial order of June 2th, 1894.

ANTONIN

Jean-Baptiste ANTONIN (1763-1835), knight of the empire by letters patent of March 25th, 1809, Attorney General to the Court of Colmar, Knight of the Legion of Honour. Regulation of coats of arms:

Azure charged of the Tables of the Law Or and eight spots Ermine Argent in orle; a bordure Gules, charged of the mark of knights of the Legion of Honour.

Baron of the empire by letters of June 19th, 1813. Regulation of coats of arms:

Quarterly: to the 1st, Azure to a cock Argent, surmounted of a mullet Or; to the 2nd, a quarter of the barons prosecutors of Courts of call; to 3rd, Vert, a book open Or, a orle of eight spots Ermine Argent; to the 4th, Or, a lion rampant Sable, holding of the dextral paw a glaive of the same and in sinister hand a branch of olive tree Vert.



ARBAUD-JOUQUES

Joseph-Charles-Andre of ARBAUD DE JOUCQUES, baron of the empire by letters patent of October 22th, 1810, prefect, commander. Regulation of coats of arms:

Quarterly: to 1st and 4th, Azure, a chevron Argent, a narrow chief Or, charged of a mullet Gules; to the 2nd, a quarter of the barons sub-prefects; to the 3rd, Or, a cross clavelée Azure.



With creation of majorat by new letters of May 16th, 1813. Regulation of coats of arms:

Quarterly : to the 1st, Or, a cross clavelée Azure; to the 2nd, a quarter of the barons prefects; to the 3rd, Gules with ten lozenges Or 4, 4, 2; to the 4th, Or, 3 ravens Sable 2 and 1; and over all, Azure, a chevron Argent, a chief Or charged of a mullet Gules.


ARBOD

Jean-Pierre ARBOD (1767-1813), baron of the empire by letters patent of April 26th, 1811, donee in Westphalia, colonel of infantry, Officer of The Legion of Honour. Regulation of coats of arms:

Azure, a dexter arm armed Argent issuing sinister and holding a French flag in bend sinister Or; a narrow chief also Or charged of a head of lion issuant Sable, allumee and langued Gules; a quarter of the military barons.



ARBORIO

Pierre ABORIO (1767-????), knight of the empire by letters patent of September 10th, 1808, prefect of Stura, Knight of the Legion of Honour. Regulation of coats of arms:

Azure, a saltier anchored Argent, cantoned of four spearheads Or; a terrace in base Gules charged of the mark of knights of the Legion of Honour.

Baron of the empire by new letters patent of March 9th, 1810 (under name of Arborio-Biamino). Regulation of coats of arms:

Quarterly : to the 1st, Azure, a saltier anchored Argent cantoned of four spearheads Or; to the 2nd, a quarter of the barons prefects; to the 3rd, Sable, 2 leopards Or, passant one on the other, langued Gules; to the 4th, Azure, a tree leafless Proper set in bend and conjoined of two squirrels of the same counter-rampant.
